Refreshing horse tea with a lemon flavour
Ice Tea Lemone is a refreshing horse tea with a lemon flavour, specially made for horses. Ideal for warm days, after training or simply whenever you want to give your horse an extra tasty treat.
Serve the tea lukewarm or let it cool thoroughly for a real iced tea experience. It is also delicious mixed into soaked feed or poured over the feed for a refreshing twist.
Because if we enjoy iced tea with lemon, your horse naturally deserves its own horse-friendly version.
Ingredients:
- Peppermint, Lemon Balm, Lemongrass, Sunflower Petals and White Clover
Making tea
Making this horse tea is easy:
- Put the tea (tea bag or loose herbs) in a bucket or large feed bowl.
- Pour at least 1 litre of hot water over it and leave to steep for a while.
- Then add approximately 1 litre of cold water until it is lukewarm. Is your horse a little picky? You can optionally add a small handful of soaked feed.
Dosage
Maximum 1 dose per day.
For ponies under 350 kg: 6 grams (± 2 measuring scoops) per tea serving.
For horses over 350 kg: 12 grams (± 4 measuring scoops) per tea serving.
The tea biscuits can also be given as a treat, with a maximum of 1 to 2 per day.
Not suitable for horses younger than 12 months.
Your horse will enjoy the mild, herbal taste of this blend.
Some horses will need to get used to the taste. So it may take a while before they start drinking it. The first few times, you can also make a slightly weaker tea so your horse can gradually get used to the taste.
Storage advice
Store the product in a cool (below 25°C), dry place in a tightly sealed package. Preferably store it in a dark place to prevent light from breaking down nutrients. Do not use the product after the expiration date on the label.
Disclaimer
Herbs are complementary animal feed; this means they are not a replacement for the daily ration, but a supplement. Horses naturally eat a varied selection of grasses, flowers, leaves, stems, bark, roots and seeds. Tea is not part of a horse’s normal ration, but is an additional supplement.

For medical problems, we recommend consulting a specialist. Plants, herbs and flowers may interact with medication or cause an allergic reaction. If in doubt, always consult a specialist beforehand and contact your veterinarian.
Always ensure that there is sufficient fresh, clean drinking water.
