Cleavers, Nettle, Dandelion, and Milk Thistle
Enjoy a supportive tea moment with your horse during shedding - a lovely way to give your horse extra care.
Shedding can be an intensive period for horses. This herbal mix is a natural and tasty supplement to support your horse during this phase. Many horses enjoy a bucket of herbal tea!
Making Tea
Making this horse tea is simple:
- Place the tea (sachet or loose herbs) in a bucket or large feed trough.
- Pour at least 1 liter of warm water over it and let it steep for a while.
- Then add about 1 liter of cold water until it is lukewarm. Is your horse a bit picky? Then add a small handful of mash if necessary.
Dosage
Maximum 1 serving per day.
For ponies under 350 kg: 6 grams (± 2 scoops) per tea moment.
For horses over 350 kg: 12 grams (± 4 scoops) per tea moment.
Additionally, the tea biscuits can be given as a treat, with a maximum of 1 to 2 per day.
Not suitable for horses younger than 12 months.
Your horse will enjoy the mild, herbal taste of this blend.
Some horses will need to get used to the taste. So it might take a while before they start drinking. The first few times, a slightly weaker tea can also be made, so your horse can gradually get used to the taste.
