Ingredients:
Nettle, Cleavers, Birch leaf, Narrow plantain, and marigold
Enjoy a refreshing tea moment together with your horse — a wonderful way to support your horse daily.
Tea may not be part of a horse’s natural diet, but it is a delicious and healthy treat. After training, on warm days, or simply as an extra pampering moment. Many horses enjoy a bucket of herbal tea!
Making tea
Preparing this horse tea is simple:
- Put the tea (bag or loose herbs) into a bucket or large feeding bowl.
- Pour at least 1 liter of warm water over it and let it steep for a while.
- Then add about 1 liter of cold water until it is lukewarm. Is your horse a bit picky? You can optionally add a small handful of slobber.
Dosage
Maximum 1 serving per day.
For ponies under 350 kg: 6 grams (± 2 measuring scoops) per tea moment.
For horses over 350 kg: 12 grams (± 4 measuring scoops) per tea moment.
Additionally, the tea biscuits can be given as a treat, with a maximum of 1 to 2 per day.
Not suitable for horses younger than 12 months.
Your horse will enjoy the fresh, herbal taste of this blend.
Some horses will need to get used to the taste. So it may take a while before they start drinking. The first few times, you can also make a slightly weaker tea so your horse can gradually get used to the flavor.
